Whether our stress has situational, physical or psychological roots, exercise help stop wipe out the anxious energy that results. Sadly, anywhere around the world, majority of the population is not physically active. Making time for physical activity is a vital link to reducing your chances of chronic disease and enhancing you potential for a fulfilled life. Life of our ancestors was based on physical activity. Today as a hole, our lifestyle is much more sedentary. We sit in our cars going to and from work or school even drive though restaurants. At work, many of us sit behind our desks letting telephones, computers and fax machines handle the activities. We do not even have to get up to adjust the volume or change the channel. We have simply stopped moving. All these changes have happened and we have come to accept all this as normal.

Our stress levels have nowhere to go but inward if we spend too much time sitting down. It is not a surprise that many of us are overweight and out of breath at the slightest exertion. We are passing on a toxic lifestyle to our children who are gaining weight at a phenomenal rate. For the health-conscious, it is imperative that you take steps to modify your lifestyle habits and live fuller lives.
